I hope you're all having a great weekend so far. I certainly am, the sun is shining down, the air is fresh and spring like, all is good!
Yesterday for me, was a very exciting day! Not only was it the Embroiderers Guild day - a once a month gathering that has become one of my favourite monthly events - it's lovely to spend time with other like-minded people with a multitude of skills between us all - but, it was also the day that I picked up my new baby - well, she's actually 78 years old, but she's new to me :)
And… just as I'm writing this, I have received a message from my friend Carly (we have not yet met, but have struck up an online friendship (like a 21st century pen pal) over the past four months and write to each other most days :) We hope to meet in person soon - I feel that I know her so well already!)… Her Dad also has a Singer and he was going to take it to the tip! It is a beautiful machine that is in a cabinet and has been converted to electric. Carly has now kindly said that she will take it to her house and we will somehow become united :) :) :) Am sooooo excited, I feel like a child on Christmas Eve! I can't believe it, have been searching for ages and then two, then three come along at once! What are the chances of that happening?! I can't wait to see it and get to work with restoring the cabinet :)
So, I'm off to play with my new machine for a little while to calm this excitement down a bit! Before I go, I would like my machine to have a name as I can't keep calling her 'her'. I would very much welcome any suggestions from you, so if you have a fitting name. please leave a comment below :) Thanks! Until next time x
